Right now, there’s a new artist conquering the world with her voice and music. Her name is Laufey! Annemijn and Floris really like her music, especially because it has jazz and Brazilian influences. A few weeks ago, Floris came up with the idea of using Laufey’s music for “The Rolo’s Car Sessions.” The song, “From The Start,” features a short piece of melodic improvisation by Laufey. A bit of scat. Beautifully lyrical, and even a touch of Parker at the end. On the way home from Amsterdam, The Rolo’s recorded and posted this as “The Rolo’s Car Sessions Part 11.” The post was well-received on Instagram and TikTok. A week later, we were driving from home to Amsterdam, and that’s when the idea arose to add our own musical touch to the song “Falling Behind.” “The Rolo’s Car Sessions Part 12” immediately went viral on TikTok.
